What is the difference between framed and frameless cabinets?
Frameless cabinets mount the doors directly to the cabinet box. Framed cabinets have a face frame across the front of the box. Compare cabinet openings, drawer dimensions, finishing panels and the storage layout you need.
Door style is a separate choice. Slab fronts are common in modern kitchens, while some frameless lines also offer Shaker doors. Gola uses a separate grip channel within the cabinet run and needs to be planned with the drawers and appliances.
For a traditional recessed-panel profile, compare framed Shaker and slim Shaker cabinets.
What is the Modern (Frameless) line made of?
The construction diagram on this page shows a ¾-inch plywood box and shelves, cam-lock-and-dowel assembly, DTC soft-close drawer glides and adjustable soft-close hinges.
Door construction is separate from box construction. A decorative finish may use an engineered MDF or HDF door core even when the cabinet box is plywood. Compare the finish surface, core, edge banding and cleaning guidance for the selected collection.
Box finishes, drawer systems and door materials vary between collections. Your estimate should identify the actual cabinet line and finish.
How do stock, special-order and RTA options differ?
Quick-ship or stock finishes can shorten production time, but the cabinet sizes, quantities, panels and hardware still need an availability check. Ask us to review your full cabinet schedule.
Special-order finishes are produced after selection and approval. Door production, cabinet-box availability, assembly and freight may have separate schedules. A stocked box does not necessarily mean that the matching doors are ready to ship.
RTA and assembled describe how the boxes are supplied. RTA cabinets ship flat-packed, while pre-assembly adds preparation and freight considerations. Your estimate should confirm the assembly scope and current order schedule.
What if I receive a lower quote elsewhere?
We will review competitive quotes to ensure we are comparing equivalent quality and construction. We aim to remain highly competitive while maintaining superior build standards.
Are doors and boxes packaged together?
Doors are packaged separately from cabinet boxes. Drawer glides and lift systems may also ship separately. In some cases, doors ship from a different warehouse.

We help you compare door finishes, grip options and storage, and can provide additional photos and sample information. Review a physical finish sample alongside your other materials before approval.
Contractors and designers can submit cabinet schedules and finish specifications. Your estimate should include the selected boxes and doors, exposed-side panels, fillers, accessories, assembly and delivery scope.
Are the outer cabinet sides finished? And inside?
Modern frameless cabinets require matching side panels for exposed sides, as cabinet boxes are white. Our team can assist with selecting the correct finishing panels.

No. Hardware such as handles and pulls are sold separately.
Can I pick up my cabinets instead of shipping?
Self pick-up is available in select cities for paid and processed orders, depending on style availability. Locations may include Texas, California, New Jersey, Illinois, Washington, Florida, and Georgia.
Pickup must be scheduled in advance.
Do you offer door samples?
Yes. Door samples are available for most styles. The sample cost is credited back once a cabinet order is placed. Sample pricing varies by style.
